This poster series was commissioned for a donation campaign.
Amnesty works to ensure the rights and freedom of vulnerable communities and peoples, and in this series
we focus on the right to a dignified, free and safe life.
The illustrations were designed to be uplifting, bold and clear, with a focus on hope. While the reality behind the messages are bleak, there is an emphasis on holding on to hope, and using its energy to continue fighting for human rights.
The series has since been selected as one of the winners of the international and annual Communication Arts Illustration Award for 2026.
“Of the 2,798 entries to the 67th Illustration Annual, only 124 were accepted, representing the work of 116 artists, making the Illustration Annual the most exclusive major illustration competition in the world.”
