Men On Hold
DVD Cover Design

Carol Mansour’s documentary explores the intersection of masculinity and vulnerability in the Syrian refugee camps of Lebanon. The documentary follows and explores their daily lives, from their interactions with their children to discussing their mental health.
The documentary was very moving, with so many tender and vulnerable moments. The base of the cover is a still from the movie that highlighted the hope for a better future for these men and their families, while still portraying their lives as “on hold”. The birds are free, and the man who does not have this freedom is captured caring lovingly for them.
